Adding Session ID's / Names to MyVoIPSpeed reports Session ID is a feature of the Professional and NOC Editions, which greatly enhances the performance database by tagging speed test results with a text identifier. The Session ID string, such as a name or support ticket number, may be entered by the end user, or may be passed automatically to the web page as uneditable text.In the standard version of MyVoIPSpeed Server, you typically see the "Click to start MyVoIPSpeed" button:  However, by enabling the SID variable within the myspeed.bin file: you can control an extra edit field (and the default text) which appears when a MyVoIPSpeed test starts:  With the SID option enabled, when Tom, Hank, and Julian start MySpeed tests from their computers, they just need to enter in their names: to have whatever text they enter then appear as a column in the MyVoIPSpeed server-side reports. |
